Jesus, unlike the church today, was known as a friend of sinners. His friendship wasn’t an endorsement of their lifestyles and actions, but a demonstration of his desire to guide them towards a life of peace and righteousness. His words “Go and sin no more” after healing and forgiving people showed His commitment to them and not just the frozen chosen at the museum called church. Church should be a hospital for the hurting that helps people get well instead of running them off because of their “disease”. God, help the church to become as attractive to the world as Jesus was when he walked the Earth.
