(Here is a couple of paragraphs from one of the chapters in the book that I’m writing.)
The Danger of Being Ruled by Opinions
Leadership is not a popularity contest. There will always be opinions—some helpful, some harmful, and many are very loud. If a leader constantly adjusts their direction based on who’s pleased or displeased, they’ll eventually lose their integrity, their clarity, and their team’s respect.
Jesus was the greatest leader who ever walked the earth. He listened. He asked questions. He drew people close. But He was never swayed by public opinion. In John 2:24-25, the Bible says, But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew how they were. He did not need the approval of mankind before moving forward in following His Fathers plan. he knew what was in each person. Jesus knew in reality the crowd could shout “Hosanna” on Sunday and “Crucify Him” on Friday. So remember leaders who live for the applause of others will die by rejection.
